When we got this brief, for two months, we debated, should we do it or not? Because as Honourable Arokodare said there are several awards in Nigeria, so we said if we are going to come into this, this is the condition, it must achieve a consensus as to who the authentic winners are, it must be championed by the industry and so on and so forth. And then this first meeting is a formal
reassurance that we are headed in the right direction not just going to be an award, its going to be an institution to solidify the interest of the Nigerian government in the telecom industry.

Weare staking our reputation as a consulting firm and integrity against this and by God's grace we shall not fail. The key things that we must agree at this meeting is that a steering committee should not involve in award nominees' election, etc. The Steering Committee
should focus on the logistics organising the event to the center of National consciousness, you know a live broadcast, sponsorships, the attendance and participation of his Excellency the President of Nigeria is more important. If the steering committee can achieve that, that will be a strong mandate to ensure that the award itself does not in anyway disappoint any of the stake holders and we are going to guarantee that it comes out successfully.
